This month we are gearing up for some big things! I’ve really been loving being mostly off socials for the past few weeks, but I definitely miss everyone’s thoughtful and hilarious reactions, questions, and commentary on my work. So if there’s something you’ve been wanting to ask or just want to say hey, drop a comment on this newsletter!
Yesterday there were SO many amazing releases by some brilliant women and nonbinary folks, and I want to take this time to highlight their incredible work.
First up is my sister’s cozy, thrilling, slow burn sapphic Space Sherlockian mystery—The Mimicking of Known Success by the one and only Malka Older!
One of the only books I have blurbed recently (because it was just SO good) was There Goes the Neighborhood, the stunning debut from Jade Adia. It’s a murder mystery, a love story, a tale of power both personal and political. Head into a bookstore and pick it up ASAP because you don’t want to miss it!
And last night Jade and I had a really fun and fascinating conversation for her release event via New Orleans’ own Octavia Books, which you can watch here.
On the Star Wars end of things, Sam Maggs’ Jedi: Battle Scars and Mark Oshiro’s Hunters: Battle for the Arena came out yesterday. Happy Star Wars novel debut to them both!
Speaking of Star Wars… The High Republic Adventures Issue #3 releases on the 15th, and I’m really excited about this issue.
Star Wars Celebration London is around the corner and there are some excellent panels touching on the projects I’m working on: The High Republic panel on Saturday at 1PM and the Dark Horse Comics panel on Sunday at 12:30PM! Celebration was one of the highlights of my year last year, and I’m really looking forward to talking with you all again soon. Also, I’ve been hearing about your High Republic cosplans and I’m beyond excited to see them in person!
Last Canto of the Dead is getting closer to its release day on May 16th. Click the link and then click the pre-order button! This story closes out the Outlaw Saints duology and it is…explosive. In the best way. Also, the ARC giveaway is still in effect! If you want to enter for a chance to win an AUTOGRAPHED advanced readers copy of Last Canto, all you need to do is subscribe to THIS newsletter! Already subscribed? You’re already entered!
Also close to release is my brilliant wife Brittany Willams’ book That Self-Same Metal, out on April 25th!
The DJO Shop is closed—thank you all so much for this round; we almost sold out of certain items! Anyone who ordered should have their books and comics soon.
Again, I’m still mostly not on socials (any updates are posted by my assistant) so if you have any thoughts or burning questions, just drop them in this post’s comments!
See you next month!
